Job Requirements of this SEN Teaching Assistant job in Stourbridge

  • Provide one-to-one support to learners with learning difficulties, disabilities, and challenging behaviour.
  • Assist students in adjusting to new settings, recognise signs of distress, offer reassurance, and promote inclusion.
  • Encourage student interaction and participation in teacher-led activities.
  • Supervise and support students to ensure safety, access to learning, and overall development.
  • Establish supportive relationships with students, acting as a role model and addressing individual needs.
  • Work with students aged 5 to P16 in a temp-to-perm capacity for suitable candidates.
  • Require a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or Health and Social Care qualification.
  • Prior experience in SEN support essential, within a school setting preferred but not essential.
