Role: SEN Teaching Assistant at a special needs high school in Salford.

This is a great opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate that all children can make progress no matter their obstacles, live active lives & contribute to society.

  • Starting in ASAP.
  • Full time, Monday to Friday 8:15am-3:15pm.
  • Temp to perm for the right person.
  • Excellent pay up to £90/day - for the first 12 weeks, then increased from the 13th week onwards in line with what the school would pay you on contract.
  • Paid PAYE direct by Tradewind.
  • FREE access to over 2,500 online courses via The National College.
  • You will need to offer a holistic approach involving academic, emotional, behavioural, pastoral and physical support.
  • You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to deliver the best outcomes for your pupils.
  • Sometimes you may need work 1:1.
  • This is a special needs school in Salford for secondary aged children with Autism, Learning Difficulties and other needs.

  • Easily accessible by bus, train, tram or car.

To join us and be successful in this Salford based SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Certificates (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Some experience supporting children with special needs.
