A growing school based in Rutland are welcoming calm, resilient individuals with an understanding of SEND to join the team as soon as possible.

Working Hours: 08.30 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only

To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:

  • To be a keen individual with a passion for working with and inspiring young people with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bags of patience and a laid back approach, to understanding individual student behaviours
  • Creativity
  • The ability to adjust and adapt, in order to meet the everchanging needs of pupils
  • Minimum of GCSE Maths and English to Grade C or Equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills

What we're looking for:

Ideally someone with experience in a primary or SEN school setting, although we will consider individuals with transferrable skill sets, including but not limited to:

  • Parent(s) of a child/children with SEND
  • Nursery Practitioner/Assistant
  • Forest School Practitioners
  • Sports Coaches/PE Teacher
  • Youth Workers
  • Social Workers
  • Prison Officers
  • Ex-Armed Forces
