As an SEN Teaching Assistant in our challenging behaviour-focused class, you will play a crucial role in supporting students to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. This role requires a resilient individual who can maintain a strong approach during class time while fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with challenging behavior.
  • Implement behavior management strategies effectively to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour is essential.
  • A resilient and proactive attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good energy and enthusiasm for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable but not essential.

Contract Details:

  • Position: Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Duration: Until the end of the academic year
