We are seeking a dedicated LSA SEMH to join our SEN school, working with children who have high SEMH needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and has prior experience in a similar setting. Due to the school’s location and the unreliability of public transport, it is essential that applicants are local or have their own transport.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Provide tailored support to children with SEMH and SEN, facilitating their learning and development.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist in creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Adapt resources and teaching methods to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have experience working as an LSA with SEMH and SEN children.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and work effectively under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with additional needs.
