SEN Teaching Assistant

Classroom Support are working to recruit an experienced and qualified SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of a SEN school in Tower Hamlets, with a view to starting in immediatly.

The school is a coeducational day school which caters for students across all Key stages with EHC Plans of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and a range of additional learning difficulties including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

Your key duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:

  • Support students 1:1 and on a small group basis.
  • Follow IEPs.
  • Manage any challenging behaviour.
  • Work under the direction of the class teacher.

It is desirable that you have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and holding an educational Level 3 accreditation is desirable, and Level 2 qualifications including Team Teach are beneficial.

The school is set in in the north London borough of Tower Hamlets and has excellent transport links. The students and staff take part in vocational studies with the workshops and take full advantage of its fantastic facilities.
