SEN Teaching Assistant - Gosport

Academics are recruiting SEN Teaching assistants to work in local schools across Gosport.
The schools we work with are across Primary & Secondary phases and cater to a range of different Special Educational Needs.

We are looking for a number of friendly, dedicated SEN teaching assistants who can support pupils who have SEND, potentially 1:1 and in small groups. You will be responsible for engaging between working with small mixed ability groups and supporting the classroom teacher.

* Gosport - Full time
* Monday to Friday
* ASAP starts
* £83.34-£90 per day, depending on experience and responsibilities

A successful candidate for this role will hold a number of responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Help pupils access curriculum through your dedicated support
  • Create and help with resources
  • Raise attainment of the students
  • Support the needs of students with SEND
  • Work alongside and learn from the teaching team
  • Adapt your support style dependant on the students needs
  • Monitor pupil progress

Ideal but not essential:
* NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* PECS and Makaton trained
* Team Teach trained
