Position: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Denton
Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalised support to a student with SEN to enable their full participation in classroom activities and learning.
  • Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies tailored to the student's needs.
  • Assisting the student with academic tasks, communication skills, and social interactions.
  • Collaborating closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a SEN setting, supporting students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Empathetic and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing barriers to learning.
  • Preferably a qualified Teaching Assistant with relevant certifications, although candidates with significant SEN experience will also be considered.
