Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant for this specialist school who cater for children with disabilities. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

The School:

Specialist therapeutic and academic support in welcoming and friendly settings this SEN school in Enfield caters for children and students with a wide range of disabilities from profound and multiple learning needs to high functioning autism. Special education programmes offer small class sizes for an individualised approach. All classes are supported by both a teacher and 2 or more teaching assistants. All staff are highly skilled and offered the very best of up-to-date training in an ever-evolving field. Facilities here are state of the art, making teaching easier and learning more accessible.

As SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the following:

· Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare

· Create a safe learning environment for all students

· Keep records up to date and attend review meetings

· Working alongside other staff including medical professionals and therapists

· Using specialist equipment where necessary

To join us and be successful in this role you will need:

· Previous experience working with children

· Sound knowledge of SEN and how to best support children with SEND

· An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

· Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible

· Legal right to work in the UK
