Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Medway

Contract: Full time OR Part time (day to day supply).

Hours: 08:30-15:30

Pay: £85-90 per day. 

Are you passionate about education and committed to supporting young learners? We are seeking an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in our school.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Classroom Teachers: Collaborate with teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Support students during lessons, group activities, and individual tasks.

  • Individualized Support: Work closely with students who require additional help due to learning differences, language barriers, or other challenges. Tailor your support to meet their unique needs.

  • Behaviour Management: Foster positive behaviour and reinforce classroom rules. Encourage a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

  • Small Group Work: Lead small group sessions to reinforce concepts, improve literacy and numeracy skills, and provide targeted interventions.

  • Assessment Support: Assist in administering assessments and recording student progress.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications is preferred (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent).

  • Passion: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
