SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Mitcham, CR4
Payscale: £94-£110.
Duration: Long-term to Permanent.
Start date: ASAP.

LTF Recruitment are currently collaborating with a Primary school based in Mitcham. We are looking for an experienced individual to join a positive working environment where providing care and appropriate teaching assistance for young children is the core goal.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your duties will be:

  • Assist children in Year 2-4 Classrooms and provide 1:1 assistance to students who require additional help.
  • Work alongside the classroom teacher and promote a positive learning environment that is also stimulating for children with SEN needs including ASD and ADHD.
  • Help prepare and deliver lesson material.
  • Build relationships with children's parents to ensure ongoing development and make parents aware of the student's progress.
  • Set individual targets and monitor them closely to help design appropriate learning material.

About you:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Level 3 TA qualifications or equivalent desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS and two references.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help students succeed.
