Are you looking to kick-start you career as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant and build your experience working with SEN/vulnerable students? If so, look no further!
We are looking for strong SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a highly reputable SEN school based in Slough on a full-time long-term basis.
Successful candidates will have:
-Previous experience working with children (Preferably vulnerable/SEN children) with mild/complex Autism, Learning difficulties, Challenging/aggressive behaviour, Down syndrome, ADHD, hyper-mobility and more.
-Excellent Challenging Behaviour management
-Be able to provide social, emotional, academic and mental health (SEMH) support to students whilst building positive working relationships
-Be able to provide general classroom support whilst working alongside the classroom teacher
-Be able to hold 1:1 interventions and mentoring sessions with pupils
-Be aware of individual needs provide personalised support
-Be willing to provide personal care
-Articulate, well spoken and excellent communication skills.
-Currently be holding a valid DBS
-Be available ASAP
-Consistency, reliability and a drive to succeed!
The school is part of the Specialist Education Trust and is based in a convenient location in Slough. The school consists of 38 primary years pupils from the ages of 4-11 who have SEN statements, while they also have 19 pupils who do not have SEN needs but were at the risk or had been excluded from the mainstream school. There is particular focus on each students individual social, emotional and academic needs while encouraging their personal development so that they can leave secondary school with confidence, self esteem and independence. The schools teaches National Curriculum, which is differentiated for the individual pupils who require it.
