Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, Temporary

About the Role:

As a qualified and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our inclusive learning environment. This position is based in a primary school with a specialised resource provision for pupils with hearing impairments (HI) and visual impairments (VI). Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support, fostering an accessible learning atmosphere, and collaborating with the school's dedicated staff to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-on-one support to hearing impaired and visually impaired pupils.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Collaborate with the resource provision team to implement effective strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report progress, working closely with teachers and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs.
  • British Sign Language Level 2+ qualification.
  • Experience working with hearing impaired and visually impaired pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education.
