We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant ready to provide support to young children in a classroom setting spanning from KS1 to KS4. Your responsibilities will involve assisting children aged 5-16 during working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The school is conveniently located near Leeds city centre. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Make learning enjoyable and interactive.
  • Facilitate children's learning in both 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Ability to share information and maintain professional communication with the class teacher.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and effective communication skills when working with children.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies for promoting positive behaviour.



Requirements:

  • Experience and skills in working with pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, employing strategies to ensure engaging and inclusive learning.
  • High expectations, commitment, and enthusiasm for both the personal and educational development of all pupils.
  • An Enhanced DBS check or readiness to obtain one through Randstad.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided).
