We work with all different types of SEN schools and Colleges over South East London. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students with learning difficulties, physical needs, severe and complex medical needs. Working closely with the teaching staff and healthcare professionals, you will provide personalized assistance to students, helping them to access the curriculum, participate in activities, and develop essential life skills. Your role will involve providing both educational and personal care support, ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of our students at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with severe and complex medical needs
  • Assisting students with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene routines
  • Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to implement individualized support plans
  • Monitoring students' progress and providing feedback to the teaching team
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students
