SEN Teaching Assistant - Tameside

We are working with a 'Good' secondary school in Manchester, who are looking to secure the services of an experienced, dedicated Teaching Assistant to join them from ASAP. It is essential that you have experience, supporting pupils with additional needs.

This particular role is to support the needs of students with SEN, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quite quickly. You must be comfortable with SEMH. To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour.

This is a school that the students feel safe in and happy to attend, with a strong sense of pride in their own school. The leaders' expectations for behaviour are high but these high expectations are matched by the students. The students are punctual and show enthusiasm when it comes to their education. There are also chances to get involved in other activities outside of the classroom: range of sports, drama clubs and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
