Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bedford
Salary: Paid to scale

Key Stage: Primary or Secondary Level
Special Education Needs (SEN): Experience with SEN students preferred
Behavior: Excellent behavior among students
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for SEN students
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to SEN students, reinforcing learning concepts and helping with tasks as needed
- Collaborate with other support staff and outside professionals to meet the diverse needs of SEN students
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of students' progress and interventions
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN students is preferred but not essential
- Patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to supporting students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of SEN students and the classroom environment
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or professional development related to SEN support
