Academics are currently working with a lovely SEN school in Worthing who provide special education to students with learning difficulties from Year 7 to Year 14. The school strongly follow the principle of 'Everyone matters, everyday counts' therefore we are welcoming anyone with a 'can do' attitude to apply for our SEN Teaching Assistant role.

What Does A Typical Day Look Like For A SEN Teaching Assistant?
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for the children in your care
- Help with any short/ long term planning as well as ensuring all equipment is safe for the children to use
- Working 1:1 or in a small group of pupils with SEN
- Building strong relationships with the children and staff to maintain an optimal learning environment
- Being vigilant and taking the correct route promptly when reporting safeguarding concerns
What Is Required For The Role Of SEN Teaching Assistant?
- A genuine desire to work with children who have special educational needs
- You must be patient, empathetic and resilient
- Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
- You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
- You will have GCSE grades of A*-C in Math's and English ( or equivalent )
