As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that each student receives personalized assistance and achieves their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students during lessons, activities, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials and teaching strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
  • Promote independence and social skills development.
  • Address behavioral and emotional challenges with empathy and patience.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN (volunteer work, previous roles, or training).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a passion for making a difference.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying student needs.
  • Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and accommodations.
