Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
  • Contract Type: Long-term to Permanent. September Start

We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team, providing care and education for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 5 to 19. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and are committed to creating a nurturing and safe environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with ASD and SEN, ensuring their educational and personal care needs are met.
  • Assist with personal care tasks for students, maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Support students with communication difficulties and manage challenging behaviours in a calm and safe manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a supportive educational setting.
  • Engage in a comprehensive week-long induction program to fully prepare for the role.
  • Complete all necessary checks and verifications to begin work.
  • Embrace a probationary period with the view to becoming a long-term, valued member of staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A valid driving license due to the school’s location.
  • Strong commitment, a positive attitude, and resilience are essential.
  • Willingness to undertake further qualifications and training to enhance professional development.
