Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students? Do you thrive in a educational setting, helping students achieve their full potential? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to start in September.

We are an education agency representing an excellent Secondary School located in Hackney. This school is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students with a variety of learning and behaviour needs, in class and 121.

The role starts in September and will be for the full academic year, with the possibility of a permanent contract once you have demonstrated your work and commitment.

The hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday and the salary for this role is £90 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a students with a range of special needs, learning support and behavioural needs
  • General Teaching Assistant work
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement strategies to promote the student's social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special needs and behavioural needs is essential.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the student's unique requirements.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
