SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and SENCO, provide one-on-one support, and create inclusive learning environments that promote student growth and development.

Location- Hemel Hempstead

Salary- £80-£95 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering individualised learning activities for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals to support students' holistic development.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs, Education, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students' diverse needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
