We are a specialist independent school dedicated to nurturing and educating children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). As we expand, we are excited to announce the addition of a new Primary classroom. We are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher with a comprehensive understanding of the full primary curriculum, including EYFS and phonics knowledge.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Delivering an ambitious curriculum tailored to the needs of children with ASD.

• Creating a stimulating learning environment that promotes confidence, resilience, and success.

• Assessing individual learning needs and adapting teaching methods accordingly.

• Engaging with pupils both inside and outside the classroom to support their overall development.

• Collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

• Maintaining a focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A relevant teaching qualification.

• Experience in classroom teaching, preferably with children who have special needs – ASD.

• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and inspection requirements.

• A genuine interest in working with children, young people, and their parents/carers.

• Ability to contribute positively to the overall programme of learning for each student.

• Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.

• Excellent communication skills with learners and their parents/carers.

• Patience and effective behaviour management skills.
