Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join this special school in Camden. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September for the whole academic year 2024/25.

A large community-maintained special needs school in the London Borough of Camden. The school is committed to providing the best education, their community is passionate and create innovative learning opportunities to promote holistic development.

Boasting a specialist school building designed by experts and architects their teams have worked hard to design and embed research-informed curriculum which emphasises 'Deep Learning' by responding to each student's point of learning. There is a range of expertise throughout this school, from highly skilled teachers and teaching assistants to a range of teams and leaders. Together they ensure every child's needs are met; teachers lead their class team through shared goals which are informed by parents, families, NHS Therapists, CAMHS professionals, and the Multi-agency Support Team.

As a SEN teacher you will be responsible for the below:

  • Planning, differentiating and delivering lessons
  • Assessing pupils progress
  • Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions
  • Updating and setting targets for children
  • Working effectively alongside other professionals in the support network
  • Liaising with parents and carers and participating in meetings

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:

  • Previous experience teaching children with SEN
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
