Are you a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher looking for new opportunities to Inspire Excellence?

Milk Education are working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs school in Islington who are seeking a passionate SEN teacher to enable pupils to flourish by encouraging and building upon their unique strengths and interests.

This role will include having access to an extensive team of therapists, teachers and professionals who work collaboratively to ensure a tailored learning programme for every student. The successful candidates focus is on developing every child’s social, emotional and personal development in addition to academic achievement.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have a strong interest and enthusiasm in developing as a teacher in this setting.
  • To assess, monitor and evaluate the progress of the pupils in the class and to ensure activities are appropriately recorded.
  • Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour according to the School Behaviour policy

The role will include:

  • Drawing up individual education plans for the pupils in the class in collaboration with the

members of the multidisciplinary team and to ensure their implementation and review

  • Delivering engaging lessons that incorporate a nurturing approach and provide academic as well as emotional

support.

  • Maintain regular and productive communication with parents, to report on progress, rewards and consequences and all other feedback
  • Using your knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning assessment and monitoring systems that drive meaningful outcomes
