Newham SEN School, in partnership with Tradewind Recruitment, is looking for an experienced and dynamic SEN Post-16 Teacher to work with students with Physical Disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in post-16 education, expertise in adapting curriculum for students with physical challenges, and a commitment to preparing students for independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for post-16 students with Physical Disabilities
  • Incorporate life skills and vocational training into the curriculum
  • Provide support with assistive technology and mobility aids
  • Prepare students for transition to adulthood, including work placements and independent living skills
  • Collaborate with external agencies to support students' holistic development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
  • SEN teaching certification
  • Experience working with post-16 students with Physical Disabilities
  • Knowledge of vocational training and transition planning
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
