A Special Needs School situated in Reading are looking for a motivated, reliable and experienced Teacher to join their team in a full-time position in September 2024. The Specialist School caters for pupils with Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), from 3 to 16 years. All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

The ideal teacher will be kind, patient and supportive and have an excellent understanding of special educational needs. You will need to be able to guide both students and teaching assistants, and foster a love of learning for each pupil in your class. Experience working within a specialist setting is essential. There is also TLR opportunities for the right teacher.

  • Position: SEN Teacher
  • Location: Reading, Berkshire
  • Pay: £30,000 to £43,709 (M1 - UPS3)
  • Start Date: September 2024

The Candidate:

  • Must have QTS
  • Strong academic background
  • Experience working in an SEN setting
  • Team teach & Makaton training beneficial
  • A natural caring personality
