Role Overview


As a SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing learning environment that caters to the individual needs of our students with SEN. Working closely with SENCO and other members of their passionate teaching team, you will deliver tailored lessons, provide support, and implement effective strategies to promote academic progress and personal development.


Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:


Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students with SEN.

  • Assess students' abilities and design Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address their specific needs and goals in line with their EHCP's
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning experience for all students.
  • Monitor students' progress, track their achievements, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to succeed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience working with students with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of different SEN conditions, learning styles, and strategies for differentiation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Passion, empathy, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
