Here at Long-Term Teachers, I am currently working closely with a 2 form entry Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare. They are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a SEND child in their KS2 class.

You will be joining a team of staff who encourage kindness and a community feel throughout the school where children feel valued, safe and secure. The school provides the students with a stimulating curriculum within a nurturing environment.

The Role

This role is for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with exceptional experience working with SEND. You will be expected to work closely with a pupil in a Year 4 class, supporting with their educational and social needs.

The Head Teacher is looking for someone to work on a full-time basis, term time only.

You will need to provide structure, engaging activities and adapted support to continue making a positive impact on the pupils' achievements through a personalised approach.

You will be expected to:

  • Great communication with the Class Teacher.

  • Have high expectations for the pupil.

  • Have previous experience as a TA or working with SEND children.

  • Be enthusiastic to help the wider school too.

  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the pupils needs.
