SEN Support Worker

Are you an Inspirational Support Worker looking for a full-time long-term position within a special educational needs school?

Tradewind are delighted to be working in partnership with an all-age special needs school in Dudley who are looking for an experienced Support Worker to start with them as soon as possible on a full-time long-term basis. The school hours are 8:30am-3:30pm.

You will be expected to support young people with severe and profound learning difficulties including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and complex medical needs. Personal care will also be required for complex classes. Successful candidates must hold a Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistant or equivalent. Candidates must also hold at least 3 months experience working with children with special needs.

The school provides a stimulating environment which is nurturing and safe and they offer an exciting curriculum that provides a variety of experiences both in-house and within the local community.

A culture of safeguarding is embedded throughout the school and all staff are appropriately trained to ensure that they are best placed to report any concerns. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility.
