Salary: £85-£90 per day

Working Hours: 08:30-16:00 Mon-Fri

Location: Bolney

Availability: Full-Time

Start Date: End of September

Independent Special School based in a rural setting between Crawley, Horsham and East Grinstead, recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join them late September. In this role you will be supporting students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The school is easily accessible from the A23 and A272. It is hosted in extensive grounds with a range of facilities designed to support young people both academically and socially. They empower pupils to grow in confidence, resilience, and self-awareness. Their unique resources and environment foster personal development.

Your New Role

• Experience working with children who have complex emotional needs

• The ability to recognise situations and ensure de-escalation before disruption

• Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary

• Demonstrate an understanding of how pupils learn and how to meet their individual requirements

• A genuine level of care and want for helping students thrive

• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs
