Position: Experienced SEN Primary Class Teacher

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday)

Location: South Croydon

The SEN School is a primary provision catering to pupils with speech, language, and communication needs. Our primary classes offer a supportive and nurturing environment for children with diverse learning requirements.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Class Teacher to join one of our primary classes comprising 8 pupils (Years 4-6). These wonderful children have speech, language, and communication needs and/or ASD. They are concrete thinkers and thrive with visual and kinaesthetic learning approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants to support classroom activities.
• Working closely with our speech and language and occupational therapists.
• Implementing the Link Curriculum Priorities to promote personal and social development.

Requirements:

• QTS

• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, speech, language, and communication needs.
• Understanding of cognitive levels and pre-Key stage standards.
• Ability to engage students in class/group learning with patience and creativity.
• DBS on the update service
