SEN Outreach Tutor
SEN Outreach Tutor required (Bradford):
Engage Education are currently working with an alternative provision in North Bradford, who are looking for outreach tutors to plan and deliver bespoke tuition to children with SEN/SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis. There are a range of positions available, and the option of working on a flexible part-time basis can be offered. This is the perfect role for qualified teachers looking to transition out of the classroom.
About the role:

- Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Behavioural Difficulties
- Autistic Spectrum Disorders
- Dyslexia
Your role will be to deliver consistent, caring and compassionate support to pupils aged 6 to 16. You will be delivering lessons to students at a one to one level - often driving to and from students’ houses and other places to support their learning and develop their independence.
We welcome applicants with:
- A good understanding of supporting pupils with either: ASC, ADHD, SEMH needs or dyslexia.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability engage pupils with their learning
- Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils and staff alike, to support pupils in conjunction with a much wider support network.
- Experience with promoting pupil progress and raising pupil attainment.
- Will be able to drive and have access to a car (tutoring may take place in the pupil's homes).
- QTS or previous tutoring experience is desirable
