Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Location: Guildford
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £85 - £110 per day, dependent on experience

Reed Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will provide 2 to 1 support for a non-verbal student transitioning from Year 7 to Year 8, with a focus on students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to a non-verbal student, understanding their unique communication methods.
  • Work closely with the student to ensure a smooth transition from Year 7 to Year 8.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement educational plans.
  • Maintain a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Adapt to the student’s needs, ensuring they feel safe and understood.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Mandatory experience in an SEMH setting or similar role.
  • Strong, calm, and assertive communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport very high needs students.
  • Patience and resilience.
  • Full-time availability is essential.
