SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

*** September 2024 – July 2025
*** £80 - £90 per day
*** Secondary school located in Walsall
*** 1:1 SEN support to a Year 10 child

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students across the national curriculum who are under-achieving. These students are struggling academically, so are currently working at low level GCSE. You will be required to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with these students, supporting them across the national curriculum.

Some of these students may also have some form of SEN requirement, ranging from ADHD, EBD and requirements of the Autistic spectrum. 70% of your role will be working with SEN students, the other will be working across subjects including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography and a Language.

The school has been deemed ‘Outstanding; by Ofsted and is based in Walsall. This makes the school easily accessible via public transport (bus and train). Over the last 5 years, the school has transformed into one of the most pro-active schools in the local authority. They provide fantastic support to graduates who are looking at a career in teaching or educational psychology.

The role will run until July 2025, giving you fantastic experience and knowledge of school life. You will also be provided with online training, valued at £700. These training will come with certificates which you can add to your C.V.
