In this position, you will specialize in supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education or those with additional needs: Social, Emotional, Mental Health/and Behavioural Needs. ??

? Experienced Unqualified English Teachers and Tutors will also be considered ?

The successful applicants will have:

  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent. �?
  • Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Education Needs including Learning Difficulties. ??
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources, and assessing students' work. ??
  • Significant knowledge and experience of working with pupils who have complex mental health needs and challenging behavior (ideal - not essential). ??
  • The ability to effectively manage pupil behavior during lessons. ??
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents/carers. ??

The role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Teaching students on GCSE English and Functional Skills Entry Level, Level 1 and 2, and ESOL courses. ??
  • Supporting existing staff in the development of the curriculum and new projects. �?
  • Tracking student progress on a regular basis. ??
  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated learning area as appropriate. ??
  • To provide, monitor and evaluate an appropriate curriculum to meet pupils' needs. ??
  • To write and review students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs). ??
  • To ensure that Special Educational & Mental Health Needs are recognized, assessed, and met. ??
