As a SEN Case Officer, you'll be at the forefront of supporting children and families through the entire case work process, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive academically and personally.

?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of SEN assessments and reviews, ensuring timely and effective support for children and families.
  • Collaborate with parents, schools, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to gather relevant information and develop personalized support plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, identifying strengths, challenges, and areas for intervention.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to schools and parents on SEN policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor the progress of SEN support plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for children.

?? Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role within a local authority or educational setting, with a strong understanding of SEN legislation and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A passion for promoting inclusion and ensuring equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their abilities.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
