Role: 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: South East London

Contract: Full time

Hours: 08:30 - 18:00

Start: ASAP

Rate: £90-100

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate candidate to join one our most prolific school in South East London, who is willing to support a young girl with Down Syndrome. You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and understand challenging scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year school experience
  • CACHE level 3 qualification
  • Safeguarding experience
  • SEN Experience (Preferable)
