Primary SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are currently working alongside a Primary School in the Castle Bromwich area of Solihull to find an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team until the end of the academic year. This position will involve working with a young child with SEND needs. This role is in a mainstream class but someone with SEND Experience would be ideal. This role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm.

Requirements Of Applicant
* Experienced/confident supporting children with challenging behaviour
* Comfortable providing personal care where required
* Able to adapt to the pupils varied moods
* Available full time until July 2024

Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Working 1:1 with a SEND Pupil
* Create a safe learning environment for the pupil and other pupils in the class
* Ensure the child remains focused on lesson plans
* Tailor support methods based off the mood of the child on each day
* Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
