Semi Senior or Senior Accountant

• Location: West End, London, WC2N
• Salary: Up to £52,000
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Hybrid: 2 days per week working from home

Reed Accountancy is recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking accountancy firm that is renowned for nurturing talent and is currently seeking a Semi-senior or Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will report to the Partner and Manager to produce accurate and timely year-end Financial Statements under FRS 102 and Corporation Tax returns.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Oversee a varied portfolio of clients under FRS 102, FRS 102 1a, and FRS 105.
• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Draft and submit corporate tax returns and prepare P11ds.
• Provide excellent service to clients, being the primary contact for any queries.
• Proactively identify opportunities for clients and communicate actions clearly.
• Handle technical and challenging projects, adhering to accounting standards.
• Work closely with and support Partners on projects.
• Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or a finalist, with previous accountancy practice experience.
• Experience in motivating a team within a practice environment.
• Project management experience with excellent organisational skills.
• Technically excellent across accountancy disciplines.
• A problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
• Organised and able to manage own workload effectively.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Confident in working alongside assigned partners.
• Motivated and capable of inspiring others.
• Collaborative and creative approach to work.
