Semi-Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant required. My client is a successful, well-established accountancy practice based in Ashford, Middlesex. My client has been established for over 20 years and works with a variety of clients across a number of different industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of client accounts, and will hold a key role within a diverse, friendly and highly motivated team.

Semi Senior Accountant Position Overview

• Process data into clients' accounts from both the manual and automated sources
• Liaise with your clients on a regular basis
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT returns on behalf of your clients
• Manage your clients' payrolls and CIS schemes
• Prepare accounts to trial balance, including; prepayments, accruals and depreciation
• Maintain clients' fixed asset registers
• Prepare management reports for client review
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns for your clients

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years working in an accountancy practice, working with a variety of clients and will be ACCA/AAT qualified/part-qualified.

Semi Senior Accountant Position Requirements

• Possess strong communication skills
• Fully proficient in MS Office packages - Word, Excel etc
• Have the ability to work as part of a team
• Must have experience working in a multi-client environment
• Accounts preparation experience
• ACCA/AAT qualified/part-qualified
• Ability to work quickly and accurately, with a keen eye for detail
• Experience using IRIS accounting software would be advantageous
• Experience using Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, DEXT, BRIGHT

Semi Senior Accountant Position Remuneration

• £32,000-£38,000 salary
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
• Pension enrolment after 3 months' probation
• Hybrid working options available after getting to know your clients
• Study leave for those taking exams - financial support for right candidate
