Semi Senior Accountant Job Vacancy

We are currently recruiting for a proactive and driven Semi Senior accountant to become a part of this esteemed firm in Ilkley, Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and IT proficient. You’ll be adept at cultivating and maintaining client relationships and you’ll have exceptional attention to detail with a proactive approach.

This role will offer a foundation level accountant (with a minimum of 18 months of UK practice experience) an exciting opportunity to develop along a defined pathway of progression under the mentorship of a brilliant team of senior level practice staff.

You might be studying towards your ACCA/ACA accountant or perhaps you’re ready to start, but either way you’ll be keen to work with a firm that values continued professional development and one that can offer you broad exposure to a multitude of clients in varied sectors.

Job Purpose

  • Bookkeeping.
  • VAT preparations.
  • Aid in the preparation and review of accounts and tax returns.
  • Organise and manage client documentation efficiently.
  • Compile and present comprehensive financial and budgetary reports.
  • Ensure strict adherence to financial laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Analyse client financial data and offer insights.
  • Act as a liaison with HMRC.
  • Manage tasks within set deadlines.
  • Support the senior team on a range of ad hoc projects.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 months of experience with a reputable UK-based accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in accounts production
  • Tax computation experience
  • Bookkeeping skills
