SEMH Teaching Assistant
The child has SEMH needs and can have breakdowns during the day and therefore requires an individual who is trained in or holds experience of emotional coaching strategies to support regulate his emotions.
About the role:
- This is a mixed ability class, and some pupils are diagnosed with SEN
- Apply emotional coaching strategies to support the child regulate their emotions
- Lead interventions when necessary
- Create stimulating learning resources to encourage academic progress
- Help to set up and tidy up at the start and end of lessons
Requirements:
- Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is ideal but not essential
- Must have lots of initiative and a pro-active approach
- Bachelor's degree is ideal but not essential
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
