SEMH Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH)? Remedy Education are hiring!

Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: £90-£100 per day

Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their educational goals.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support positive behaviour development in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adapting support strategies as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:


- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students with diverse needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training.
