Are you keen to make a difference to the lives of children and young people whilst building your experience and furthering your career in SEND/SEMH?

SEMH School

Tradewind are looking for a SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant to work with a primary and secondary Alternative Provision in Westminster, this will be a class based role supporting pupils with classwork and manage any challenging behaviour of the learners.

This role is based within an SEMH specialist setting for students who for many reasons are unable to access mainstream education. The class consists of 8 pupils with behavioural issues so the college are looking for a very strong role model.

SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
  • Secondary Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor / Youth Worker experience
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
  • A passion for working with SEND is essential
