Hays are supporting a school in Birmingham in recruiting a committed and passionate teaching assistant to work with their pupils with SEMH on a long-term basis. These roles have an immediate start and will continue on an ongoing basis, with the potential to extend well into the academic year. It is a small school that boasts strong leadership and a hardy team of staff that are committed to the development of the children in their care, and who work extremely hard to support each other.
Your new role
You will be supporting in lessons for pupils who face social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will be responsible for assisting with the teaching and learning of pupils, and will include helping with delivery and assessment of work. You will be supported by other Teacher's and teaching assistants within the school and will work closely with the Leadership team in delivering the best possible outcomes for the pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this SEMH teaching assistant role, you must have strong behaviour management skills and have experience working with children with social and emotional challenges. Social care candidates are encouraged to apply also.
