Security Officer

The role entails working front of house at a research centre providing high calibre, customer focussed security services. Bank holidays will be paid at double the time rates.

The job responsibilities of the Security Officer are:

• Applicant must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
• First Aid at Work qualification ideal but training will be provided.
• Flexibility with shifts as this role will include working nights on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday and covering sickness and annual holidays.
• Willingness to attend training and cover shifts for other Regional FSI contracts.
• Carry out patrols, supervise access, key and CCTV controls.
• To ensure all Security Incident/Loss/Accident Reports are completed before shift handover.
• To assess and report potential safety hazards so that remedial action may be taken.
• Excellent customer service skills, experience working in a corporate environment is highly desirable.
• Have a polite and professional attitude to internal and external customers.
• The ability to work independently or as a team.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent level of English both written and spoken.
• 1 year minimum experience in the security industry
• Front of house experience working at an industrial premises is highly desirable.
