This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and technical Security Engineer, to join a growing, award winning company, with their head offices in Basingstoke. The successful Security Engineer will be required to have a full-UK driving license as this role may involve ad hoc travel to other sites / data centres.

The Role

The Security Engineer will be joining the internal security team, though work alongside an external SOC, in-order to support the business on all internal network security issues that arise. You will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for all things security, with an eagerness to learn and develop. Outside of this, you will ideally have a broad range of skills with regard to network troubleshooting, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs and more.

The Security Engineer will be joining a well-established Managed Service Provider with ambition and a clear plan for growth. The successful Security Engineer will work on a hybrid working basis, visiting the Basingstoke office 3 days per week.

What’s Required?

• Prior commercial experience within a security engineering role - ideally within a similar SME sized organisation 

• A broad knowledge of all things security and network security including network troubleshooting, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs to name a few

• Knowledge of ITIL disciplines 

• Any experience or knowledge of ISO27001 as well with virtualised infrastructure or windows environments would be highly advantageous
