My client is a top tier Civil Engineering Contractor.
They are the principal contractor for a major highways project in the Hampshire area which is due to break ground imminently.
The project is valued at circa £200m and involves a major motorway upgrade in South Hampshire to facilitate a major new residential development in the Fareham area.
This project has a 2+ year life cycle, beyond which the team will be re-mobilising to Winchester to undertake another major highways project which is anticipated to last for another 3 years.
They are seeking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Section / Senior Engineer to assist in the timely and successful delivery of the project.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of delivering large scale civil engineering projects.
Section / Senior Engineer duties include:
- Management of a section of works
- Training & mentoring of Site Engineers
- Advising the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
- Assist in production and integration of 3-week programmes
- Manage designs from the inhouse and external designers
- Support the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
- Collaborate with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements
- Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team
- Demonstrate value engineering throughout the construction process
- Managing RFI's and Technical Queries
