Spanish Teacher (Immediate Start - June End)

Location: Walthamstow, London

Contract: Long-term placement (Immediate start until the end of June) with potential for permanency

Role Overview: As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering students’ language skills and cultural understanding. Your passion for teaching Spanish, combined with your experience and qualifications, will contribute to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Delivering high-quality Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring effective differentiation and personalized support.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborating with colleagues to design engaging schemes of work and resources that align with national curriculum standards.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Classroom Management: Establishing a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes active participation and mutual respect.
  • Parent Communication: Engaging with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS: Essential for this role.
  • Experience Teaching Spanish: Demonstrated experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Enhanced DBS: Candidates must have an enhanced DBS certificate on the online ‘Update Service’ or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Safeguarding Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential).
